Naoki Hattori in the Panspeed RX8. World Time Attack 2012 (WTAC).

World Time Attack is arguably one of the most covered events on the calendar here in Australia, gathering together a host of local and international photographers and videographers. Media members practically outnumbered normal spectators, even the average person even watching from outside the fence had a DSLR in hand. Anything so well documented is bound to be saturated in the coming weeks, as photo after photo from slightly different angles will spread around the internet, hopefully not undoing the generally good work from the organizers by making everyone groan when they read “WTAC coverage” for the 213th time.

With all the photo’s I’ll post this year I aimed to see a different perspective of the event, trying to capture emotion and the somewhat loneliness of time attack racing, one that hopefully comes across in my photo’s and that you hopefully don’t see in every other photo you’ll undoubtedly come across.
